Located in a separate building in Shenzhen's Nanshan Park, the double-height volume is fully embodied by the new mezzanine, which creates vertical extension and spatial stimulation for children to explore themselves. The entire environment is formed entirely by curves, breaking the rigidity of the building's outer boundaries and seamlessly connecting all the active areas located at three different levels. In order to follow the curved construction, the abstract landscape mimics the seasonal changes of the valley to stimulate the imagination of children. The overall design language is a strategic manipulation of symbolic colours, shapes, proportions and touches to meet the functional and emotional needs of the playground and to create a memorable experience for children and parents.
