This project is located in the atrium of the Vipshop building. Faced with a space characterized by significant vertical

 dimensions and a complex floor layout, we did not stack equipment on the floor;instead, we took advantage of the 

atrium’s soaring ceiling to extend the custom rope net upward, creating a three-dimensional form with interlacing layers

 through continuous mesh surfaces, openings, and passageways.

🔹The project features a crisp, translucent blue-green color palette, with a lightweight, open mesh structure 

that enriches the spatial layers while minimizing the impact on the atrium’s natural light and visual transparency.

Whether viewed from the ground floor looking up or from different floors, the structure reveals distinct spatial relationships.

🔹As seen in the actual photos, the installation features a central main net structure with multiple branches

extending outward on both sides and across different floors. Once inside the net,participants must adjust their

center of gravity on the undulating, flexible surface and find their way forward through circular openings, narrowing

passages, and suspended net pockets. Some areas are relatively open,allowing visitors to pause briefly and observe

the atrium; others form tube- or funnel-shaped spaces that require visitors to crouch, crawl, or use their hands and feet

to pass through. The route constantly shifts in width,direction, and height, making the entire experience feel like entering

an ant nest suspended within the building.
